New one

We eclipse UA's current contract with our TA

My thoughts are, we should cross that bridge when we get there
If you think it is not about the pay rates then why should we vote for a contract so lacking in QOL items. Did you see that disaster of a Town Hall? The Union did not come off well and got absolutely destroyed in the Q and A. People said "wait for the language". We did and it is worse then what anybody could have imagined. The company absolutely owned the Union in the language.

I have to agree. The QOL stuff is okay but not good to the point where we should start overlooking notable pay gaps (probably 5%+)

If someone making 5% more than you is what makes you unhappy and bitter towards your job, I might start thinking about doing some internal reflection about what actually matters in life and change what makes you happy.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be the best paid, but it's not what makes or breaks my happiness.

That being said, you are definitely in the majority, it will be nonstop complaining in the cockpit about it for years I'm sure.

It wouldn't make or break my happiness. I could be on the current contract and feel fulfilled at my job. I would even be okay with it if the TA is voted in and then two weeks later UA comes out with higher rates. It's more that I am not going to knowingly approve of something if it is clearly inferior. I agree we need to wait and see if that actually happens.

If I can interrupt; I don't care what Delta has and what United has. I care what we have. What "they" have may not work for us and what we have may not work for them.

Focus on what works for this pilot group and stop the "keeping up with the Jones's".

I'm simply pointing out what is occurring here. Take a second; reflect on what is best for you and your family. Inform yourself, then, make a decision.

Control what you can control; stop worrying about other contracts that you have no input on.

One man's opinion.

why has no one mentioned your lack of retro pay? Did I read it right that you only get 3 months of real retro. Apologies to the ones that gave no idea why retro actually is.

Dang, I have to admit that I might have been wrong. I didn't think that you actually worked for AA, but if you were on the Town Hall...

It’s one extra month compared to the exact DAL retro/bonus/etc. whatever you want to call it.

I appreciate what you're saying. I am definitely a positive person and no contract, new or old, would change my general attitude towards my job.

I also agree we should not worry about United at this point in time. However, there is a good chance they come out with something in the next week or two and we can't bury our heads in the sand if this scenario comes to fruition. I would be happy if their agreement is roughly equal to ours and each pilot group can progress with the TA's that fit their needs. However, it's not realistic to have the pilot group vote in something if becomes apparent it will be industry lagging. It's not about having everything that Delta and United have, but they are our peers and we deserve to have something that is competitive. We'll see soon how it all plays out. There's no point in stressing about it now.
