Just stay at SWA. You said yourself you want quality of life. That means commuting is out, therefore so is the wide body. You’re really just making a decision between PHX 737 or PHX Airbus at this point. Both will get you good quality of life living in base. Narrow body pay across the industry will equalize soon enough and you can make extra at both if you want flying premium (another perk of living in base). Both fly to HI from PHX too so you get a chance to change things up. SWA May actually have an edge only because you guys don’t fly red eyes. You WILL fly red eyes with AA in PHX, just know that.
You’re already at SWA so just go ahead and hang your hat, throw that logbook in the attic crawl space with the Christmas lights, and enjoy the rest of your career.

That's something we don't have, something the AIP won't give us, and something you will likely permanently sacrifice if you make the move to AA.

that’s false. You can do that at AA…probably not while junior though. We use PBS bidding. You can create schedules like that pretty easily actually.

Key word is seniority. I can do it now at SWA as someone who is brand new. AA probably years?

First, I’m not trying to talk you into coming here at all, just trying to have correct info for folks looking at AA. No, it wouldn’t take years at all, seniority progression is very rapid right now. Just takes being a line holder and not a bottom line holder. Then yeah, you can pretty easily have 7 days off in a row…that might mean working 5 to 7 days in a row though. That said, as a reserve you can do a 7 day block off pretty easily too…but only one block like that in a month.

Absolutely…I guess I’m leaning towards QOL that gets me home more.
I’m fresh off IOE at SWA, already traded for trips out of BWI to fly out of LAS and MDW and was able to move two 3 days back to back. So I have like 7-8 days off between my trips. It’s super nice and from those I’ve talked to, sounds like I won’t be able to do that at AA
