Moving days
Hey everyone. Got a newbie question. I'm gonna need some time off to relocate my things and was looking through the contract for information. It does look like theres paid days and unpaid days for move. Is everyone entitled to these? And are they automatic or do they need to be requested? I ask because the regional I was at gave you 4 days off automatically whenever you had a vacancy change. The ULCC I was at also gave you time off but it wasn't available to newhires. So basically as soon as you finished IOE they pretty much wanted you in base which was sort of tough. Thanks for any information.

Call and tell them the problem and they’ll accommodate you like a mom & pop business, but no contractual freebies for a hypothetical.
AA is tuff on loose interpretations of the contract, but very accommodating on an individual basis with a problem.

Pretty sure I read in there you call the base planner to work out the conflict. There is no protection for implied conflict that doesn’t exist, but if you end in one base and need time to report in another there is a provision.
