Coming from flying a 2 pilot part 91 challenger 350 for a first time aircraft owner, this sentence resonates with me like no other. I remember one time when the owner used the lav and then proceeded to get visibly upset when after use "the water is dirty, fix it" when we're in cruise. Then having to explain to him that it uhmmm reuses the fluid and whatever you put in will be seen again.

FA’s are supposed to check that (AA Airbus at least), except on ETOP’s then FO also verifies. That said, I check it on transcons too, just in case, but on the Airbus it’s right up front.
