What is mind blowing about that? Doesn't seniority dictate bid awards at all major airlines?

I don't think it is mind blowing at all. Not sure where you got that from.

The poster to which Suss was responding had absolutely zero clue about how the seniority system works. His mind was, indeed, blown.

I have seen the schedules and talked to people on the 757 at DL and they have told me about the particular level of hell that the position is. It sounds awful, and why it went to a new hire.

Other DL WB slots are pretty good and go senior for a reason.

Really, it is pretty easy to figure out. If senior people could hold it but choose not to, there is a reason for it. There is something wrong with it.

even thought a few hundred newhires have gotten WB B at Delta in the last year? Plenty of newhires to 764/330/350 (all pay at top rate).

I was jumpseating on a Delta 76 and they said some trips have 4 leg days. No wonder it goes to new hires

764/330/350 go to newhires and don’t do 4 legs.

They must’ve been disgruntled and over exaggerated. I believed them because the leg I was on, was 1 hour and their next flight was 1 hour back; easy to hit 4 legs like that

I’m sure 7ER guys do, but plenty of newhires have gotten 767-400 (different from 757/767-300) and A330/A350 which don’t.
