Lotsa RJs out of TYS, with FDJ Eagle priority for the jumpseat and mainline guys getting bumped by own metal commuters.

I love eastern Tennessee and I like no state income tax but RJs only have one jumpseat and AA pilots don't have first dibs. Some people drive it but I'd think that would get old quick.

I95 is the effing Thunderdome during rush hour. The mile stretch around the 595 interchange is LITERALLY the deadliest mile of highway in the country.

I take the Tri-Rail if at all possible.

Agreed, I95 is by far the worst overall interstate in the country. Most of it is two lanes each direction when in reality those two lane areas needs to be three lanes.

I currently have a 2:40 drive to CLT but normally elect to fly (I do have 11 flights a day). I drive every now and then and it's pretty brutal - I cannot image doing it weekly. Even doing 3x 5-day trips. I would consider against long term planning of a drive like that. Budget another 0:20 for the employee shuttle.
Good to know. Where are you driving from? I know what you mean. I drive 2:30+ to DFW currently. I am able to bid for Tuesday through Friday, so it isn't terrible. Also, does CLT have free veteran parking in the main terminal?

The awfulness of the stretch of I-95 from West Palm til it ends in Miami has nothing to do with traffic

Amen. Worst drivers I’ve seen in my entire life. Not the quantity of drivers but the quality.

I'm in central NC, it's an easy drive, not like I'm going through mountains.

I don't think they offer special parking.
