Will the 73 or bus get a new hire to CLT faster? Or are not possible on the first bid? Thanks

In another thread it was posted junior CLT A320 F/O was March 2023. Based on that I'd say you'll only commute for a few months.

If you don’t get it in indoc (which you probably won’t) then I’m fairly certain you’ll get it in 1-3 months.

Appreciate the insight. I feel like commuting from a major airport I live 15 minutes from wouldn’t be too bad if only for a few months, right?

I did CLT-PHL for 3 months and only spent 2 weeks on short call in PHL. Frontier runs a daily and you can reserve the jumpseat as well on AA metal. It really wasn't too bad. If you get done late UPS also runs a direct PHL-CLT several days a week.

PHL is what I was going to shoot for realistically. If I could do that on the bus for a couple months then get CLT I’d be happy.

Hi. Looking to move to CLT for family reasons and QOL (nights at home) is #1 priority. Currently live in the midwest and fly at a regional, nearest major base is a 4 hour drive. I can commute for a short time as long as I can get CLT eventually. Really struggling to make this decision as I hear all kinds of mixed things about the QOL and company culture at AA but my options are limited. I have heard that "reserve life in CLT is pretty good" but I'm not sure what that means. Can anyone elaborate?
