Just to clarify what the DL folks can do....the first thing to understand has DAL has a fairly rigid trip filling process. Once inside "next day" (soon to be "second day"), open time is filled by a very specific sequence (including reserve assignments), done in a semi-manual process. Before that time, it is completely automated. Trips can be added for straight time (soon to include premium time trips), dropped or swapped, much of which depends on reserve coverage. This happens 4 times a day at specific times. If your request meets the parameters, and there is sufficient reserve coverage for what you are trying to do, it is automatically processed. If there is not adequate reserve coverage, and you're trying to drop, your trip gets put into open time with qualifiers. People can't swap into it, but they can do a straight add.

Outside of this system, there is a pilot to pilot trip swapping system that is fully automated and runs in real time, first come, first served. You can pick up, drop or swap with another pilot, as long as they are in your category (has to be in same base....no out of base swapping). There are some restrictions on this to prevent what we call "trip parking".

That's still light years ahead of the eff'd up cr@p we have at this godforsaken place. My trip trade ability went from mediocre to ZERO.

Another thought. I was under the impression that the company AND the union had to agree on TTS 2.0. Is APA content with TTS2.0?

From what they’ve said, TTS 2.0 is running as expected, but the company restrictions are what makes it suck and we have no means of checking that.

TTS is annoying because of the interface and taking the blame as the problem in trades, but the true problem is us not having a say in parameters for trades. It’s locked down just the same as TTOT.

i said rare. I’ve traded days but it required them to be short staffed for the day youre giving them.

Call your CP if you need off. We have a right for life at home, we didn't sign up to give our personal life away. I am pretty sure the higher ups never miss birthdays and other important events. F this place!

APA: We hear you loud and clear. TTS is simply not working for our pilots. From the clunky interface that requires significant more time to navigate, to the Open Time Limits (OTL) lockdown, our pilots have taken a step back in time.
