I Have an interview coming up in January. Is Spitfire consulting preferred over Tarver prep service? I thought I read somewhere the hiring committee prefer Spitfire because someone on the hiring committee is linked to Spitfire. Thanks guys.

Tarver recently merged with Spitfire. So join either and you get a twofer! As far as hiring committee connections to Spitfire, I've never heard about it. Nobody in Dallas ever asked me about what prep service I used.

P.S., sorry for the double post, being a noob I didn't realize my post needed approval.

I used Spitfire and enjoyed the service. Got the job offer, so it was worth the small investment in my opinion. There were no questions during the inteview that I didn't practice prior to that.

I used Raven and got a CJO the day of my interview. I had no surprises. So I would say Raven is a good company to use as well. aviationinterviews.com is a valuable resource also.

If you disclosed everything or are lucky enough to be squeaky clean then there is no reason to wait months and lose seniority numbers.
For the application, if you had to go to court for a speeding ticket (I think maybe 25 mph over… small town speed trap), but the DA brought it down to a standard speeding ticket less than 25 over and you pay the fine, do you need to disclose anything besides the date, violation, and outcome? Wouldn’t want someone to think you’re trying to hide something by putting “speeding violation - fine paid” and not mentioning a court appearance that shows later on a background check (if it shows at all?).

App prep companies will tell you that you need to list your original citation then in the comments you list the fine or what it was reduced too.

I can vouch for Raven as well. I knew every detail of what to expect. I highly recommend them.

Has anybody who interviewed in December gotten a class date yet? What I’m seeing from the Nov posts is anywhere from 6 days to 6 weeks from CJO to class date.

I also interviewed in Dec and am waiting to hear back. As is another guy I interviewed with.

I’m anticipating late April or early May start. Hoping to hear something in first few weeks of Jan at the latest
