Stupid question, I was never given any option to take first available class date. Received my cjo via email on 9/26. All paperwork completed right away. Did the onboarding portal stuff/fingerprinting/etc.. Where was the option to tell them 1st available class date?

I signed a piece of paper after the CJO in person that we either want first available class date or prefer to wait until after PRIA was done (not background investigation, totally different thing and that will need to be completed before you get a date but that usually only takes a week). However I wouldn't worry too much about it, classes are so delayed it probably doesn't matter what choice you made at this point.

I interviewed on 9/13. Went to the review board and got the CJO about 2 weeks later. I have been in limbo since then. I got a call out of the blue today with the Option1/Option 2 deal, which is the first I had heard of that. I was also offered the January 11 class.
