Virtual Assessment? Do you have an in person interview set up? When they called me initially, I got set up with an in person interview date and a virtual interview with HR a week prior which is literally 10-15 minutes of making sure your name matches your resume and describe an in-flight situation in layman's terms. they just want to see you're personable. Not sure if that's what you mean by virtual assessment.

This is standard. They're looking to make sure you're not a psychopath and can explain basic airplane things in layman's terms. Be prepared to answer "Why American?" and customer service/HR type questions ("You're the Captain on a flight and you have another flight at a different gate. As you leave the plane, you notice several families still waiting for strollers, etc. What do you do?" Come up with an answer that takes care of the passengers and doesn't delay your next flight). As far as I know everyone does the virtual assessment before their actual interview. If you don't have an interview date yet, I'd expect one soon. If you're attending an "event" where they're handing out CJOs soon and you don't have an interview date, expect to interview at the event. Oh, and they asked for my certificate and FTN number. I was told if I didn't know the FTN number it was no big deal, but I was able to find it quickly. Hope this helps.
