AA has an “unspoken” do not hire clause currently on WO Eagle pilots. Those at the Voy, PSA, and PDT literally are banned from getting hired outside the flow unless they are deemed “special”, whether that means skin color, ethnicity, gender, F16 flight time or if mommy or daddy are well connected at AA, “cough” flywithgarrett “cough”.
Should be interesting to see what spin they put on it this week at the NGPA event in palm springs where there will be a boat load of WO eagle pilots attending. If AA doesn’t want them, I’m sure Delta and United will happily say “hello”.

It’s very hard to tell what exactly triggers an interview. I went to the ORD Meet the Chiefs on Friday, and Sunday night had an email with an interview invite for Wednesday.
Did my interview on 2/2, and about 2 hours after getting the CJO I got an email from Talent Acquisition thanking me for attending the MTC event. I don't think they had even processed that I had been to the event when I got the invite. The HR and Talent Acquisition teams are swamped.
Moral of the story: keep updating those apps. They are running out of applicants and will call you.

Welcome to AA! A buddy of mine attended and received good feedback but hasn’t heard anything. With the overall qualifications of that group I thought there would be more chatter of interviews. Those guys pretty much flew to ORD in a snow storm on their own dime. Should be rewarded for their effort in my opinion. Hopefully the recruiting team is working through the applications as we speak.
