And yet at PSA we have captains leaving in droves to United, Delta, FedEx and SWA.

Some would love to be at AA but unless you have a dad/mom over there it seems hard to even get a look.

From what I heard, don't know if there's truth to it, if you have a job offer elsewhere you can contact recruiting with your CJO to give them a heads up that you're leaving the WO regional and they'll sometimes give you a look to try and keep you on AA property. Certainly won't hurt to try.

There have been quite a few WO pilots that went and got CJOs at other legacy airlines, emailed that CJO to AA's hiring team, and had an interview at AA within a couple days.

I guess they figure that they are going to lose you anyways, might as well have you come to AA.

That is actually pretty smart and saves the other airline a wasted training slot

A Horizon CA I know is not going to Alaska for a few years. He lives in Boise, Idaho. Values time with his kids in school. Goes to sports and other events, as much as he can. Why not move? No, his wife is a dentist in Boise. Maybe when they are empty nesters he will consider commuting to Seattle.

Hello Guys, in the same boat as profitpilot...Can you please share your comments/recommendations/experiences about attending NGPA event? TIA

Bring a nice resume. Spend the money and get a bunch of copies to hand out to recruiters. LOR’s don’t come into play until later. If you have a scheduled meet and greet a printed application may come in handy, but it’s not required. Have you intro well prepared and polished. The impression you make will lead them to your resume, which they’ll likely write things on and set aside to be referenced when they get back to the office.
