A buddy of mine submitted his app and got the invite to interview after around 8 weeks. 5500 total, regional captain 1500 tpic, Military Veteran with a college degree. And got a thanks but no thanks email. FO’s are apparently getting invites with zero pic and no degree and no military.
Yes I can verify that, I’ve been flying with FOs who have 2,500 no TPIC getting invited over.

Covid vaccination
Long time lurker, first time poster,
I’m one of “those people” who are a vaccine hold out.
I’m currently military, and am expecting a discharge (honorable or general under honorable conditions) over it.
I’m moderately unwilling to take it, but ultimately I have kids to feed.
Does anyone have advice for getting hired by American under these conditions? Otherwise I meet all the other previously mentioned requirements/minimums.
Thanks,

What can I expect from a meet and greet at the NGPA conference? Do you bring your resume and LORs or do they just look at your pilot credentials/ airline apps? Any general advice for these job expos? I’ve never been to one and not sure what it entails. Thanks

Cant say that I have heard of too many people getting a TBNT email unless they really screwed up the interview pretty badly.
Yes, regional FOs are getting the call now. Primarily because there are so few regional captains that have up to date applications and are bothering to keep them current. Many Regional Captains are getting comfortable and not applying to the airlines. As a result, their FOs are getting hired instead. And in a year or so when the regional industry collapses, the current regional Captains will be junior to their previous FOs.

Regional captains aren’t updating apps? Do you have an ounce of evidence to support that claim? It’s laughable on its face

I can confirm with 100% accuracy (my own experience) that there is in fact a fair amount of regional CA not updating or even applying. Most of the time I hear: happy with my current schedule, delaying commuting, would like to get stuff done before I flow, don't want to move, etc. Those are a small example of what I hear out on the line. As odd as it may sound, not everyone out here is beating on the door of the majors. Now what that percentage is would be pure speculation but it is happening more often than you would imagine.
