AA Hiring?

Application Question:
There may be a simple answer to this, but to make sure...
This statement next to each aircraft flown, there is a block to check, is this for a current aircarft being flown and obviously current in it?
I have type ratings for most of the aircatft listed.
Example, I have ratings in 747, 777, etc, I won't check those boxes next to those airctaft. I haven't flown either in several years...?
Is this correct?

I believe the answer is yes as long as you're typed. They're not asking for actual currency. For example, I have a type in a bizjet that I haven't flown in years, but my type rating is still valid. I clicked "yes". I got hired, so ..I have to assume I answered correctly.
Ok I'll go with that.
thank you.

Any guess or hypothesis how important or effective an LOR is? Is internal rec more meaningful than the one you upload to the app?
Starting class real soon, but trying to help some of my friends still at regionals and ULCCs. I had a friend do internal rec, they were a pretty recent hire at the time. Also wrote me a boilerplate letter for the app. I feel like the recs came toward the end of my app process, like after they sent me PST but before I finished and got the interview scheduled.
Anyway I was curious if anyone knew/suspects if recs move the needle much, if at all.

No LORs internal or external either, still got hired. Not sure how heavily they are weighed since I have also written 2 LORs for previous work buds and crickets for both of them despite same quals as me.

During upgrade in Nov. I was told recommendations were “important.” I was also told we can do a negative recommendation, but that it wasn’t a deal breaker if it was just one complaint.
