Yeah, but what other union gives you a usb charger (not free since my dues paid for it). That must count for something, plus the blue lanyard looks good.

A little confused with the new system. Updated my app and got an invite to complete the assessment. Is this a good sign or does everyone have to do it like the old application?

I applied with pilot credentials and did the AON test as part of the application. Once I selected an interview date in Pilot credentials (no longer used) along with my what to bring to the interview instructions, I got an invite for a work traits assessment which was personality type questions and pick between two not great situations w/ no right or wrong answers. That was before the Zoom admin interview with HR rep the week before the trip to Fort Worth.

It doesn't mean anything except your application is considered complete. I think it's automatically generated.

Today I received an email from the American Airlines Talent Acquisition that said,

"Good news - you are continuing to move forward in the application process! Your profile and resume are receiving additional consideration. After these are reviewed, we will be sure to keep you posted on your status as we determine any next steps."

Trying to remain level headed and not get my hopes to high but hopefully an interview invite will soon follow. Anyone interested in timelines, I originally submitted my application mid February and this is the first I have heard from American Airlines.

I received a phone call about an hour after I got the above email. I have an interview on July 18th. Anyone else gonna be there?

I would stay. If you lived near Mia, Clt or Dfw then it’s a more complicated choice. Philly is a convenient spot for European summer flying, I’m positive they would bail on it if something better ever came along.

Default What is American looking for in new app sys?

Has anyone received an email from talent acquisition to proceed with PST and further review with less than 100 hours in their last 12 months? My app has been live for 6 weeks now with no response. I have over 2100 total hours, 1800+ TPIC, military instructor and evaluator. No criminal record or negative records in my flying history. Any info helps.

Verify "live". After I re-populated all my information in the new system, I also spent a few weeks assuming my app was live awaiting some type of confirmation/acknowledgment. I sent an e-mail to recruiters to try to confirm and got a prompt response that they couldn't see it on their end. I went back into it, and found one field in one tab that didn't recognize the syntax of my input, but I hadn't recognized that when I clicked "Save and Submit" that I wasn't getting the "Save was Successful" confirmation for that tab. I fixed it, and then next day I got the e-mail for the PST. Since there is no longer a "Publish" button that does a positive quality-control cross-check, recommend scrubbing your app to make sure ALL tabs are returning a "Save was Successful" confirmation message every time you click "Save and Submit" for each tab.

Yes. All I have is about 30 hours, and even that is all GA single piston time. Other than that, I am VERY currency-challenged.

Very similar numbers as me, also military background.

Bottom line: check and double-check this new application system, and don't hesitate to ping the recruiters to confirm that it's live on their end. As soon as I did that, not only did I get the next-day invite to take the PST, a couple days later I also got a phone call for an interview. So hang in there.

This! I was wondering why when I opted-in for texts, it would be unselected on my next login. When I input my phone numbers, I used dashes and they were accepted. I guess after one of the recent updates dashes are no bueno. Once that was fixed I followed up with an email and got a response and invitation for the interview in a couple of days.
