If you guys haven’t listened to this it’s pretty good to show you what AA wants straight from the horses mouth. CA Glenn is the director of pilot hiring here at AA. it’s two parts but someone may get something out of it. Thought I would share in case some haven’t heard it.

Default zoom interview

Good afternoon to all,

I got a zoom interview coming up and I was curious on what attire those who have done it, was used. Did you go full blown suit, just shirt and tie (pants of course lol) or collared shirt? In my mind, I was thinking suit but also did not want to over do it. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to all!

I wore suit and tie. Interviewer was in business casual.

Suit and tie isn’t overdoing it. Treat it as if you were actually there in person so dress to impress. Also it’d be a good idea to make sure the background of the zoom call is clean and tidy.

Agreed on all of that. I literally heard them say during an online seminar that one of the main issues they see that holds people back is not treating the admin interview like an interview. It is low key, but it’s still an interview. Jacket, ironed shirt and a tie are a must.

Being one step more dressed up than the interviewer is always good. It shows seriousness and maturity.

If no pants, would you suggest NOT going Commando?
