I got the hotel email about 5 days prior to the interview. Never did get a flight email but I did get the automated text with the gate in the morning of the flight 😀

All newhires, potential newhires, and everyone under 60 probably wants to sign this petition. It's open to non-alpa members https://alpa.quorum.us/campaign/46334/

Needs to be a fitness test for senior momma FAs. Notice I say fitness test, NOT age limit.

Extending the age limit to age 67 would be such a small blip on the radar to even be noticed. CEOs are claiming a third of the pilots over sixty are on long term disability. There are very few that want to that CAN do it. If you ARE able to and WANT to, then the choice to do so should be your own, just like everything else. Except having a beard or visible tattoo, that is.

Exactly. I'm all for eliminating the age limit altogether. I mean don't you think it's crap that you can only fly part 121 to 65, but then keep flying corporate as long as you like? Or what happens if there's another financial meltdown when you're 64? You're just screwed? You should at least have the option of working.
Keep inspecting and keep in service for forever until an inspection grounds it or it fails in flight.
To maintain a safety culture, the old pilots would have to get a medical every week or after every leg if they are allowed to “run to failure”.
