The assessment for American was very VERY similar. I’ve taken both. Passed both, eventually CJO’s to both.
I'd be interested to know which prep service you used. I think I might know. If you don't know want to name names here, a DM would be greatly appreciated.

To be fair does AA even grade the assessment? Seems like guys always get an interview email. My interview email happened to come a couple days after I took it but it was a generic email which requested I take the assessment. I had already taken it so I don’t think it knew. Some guys who don’t log onto pilot credentials as often as I did got the email to interview before taking it. How does this work? Do they retract your interview if you bomb the assessment?

My understanding is that it is for metrics not for screening

My sincere hope is that they don’t let you interview in person unless the assessment is passed. It sure would be a bummer to go interview, so well, and still get a TBNT based on the PST. Seems like it would be wasteful for all involved.

Can anyone clarify the flight time classification for dual received? He pilot credentials shows PIC, SIC and instructor. Dual received falls nowhere in there. My TT on pilot credentials will be sans this time. I don’t want my paperwork jacked up for the interview.

Southwest says to log this time in pilot credentials as SIC which seems odd for a piston trainer. The FAQ for American does not clarify this and Pilot Credentials never got back to me on how American wanted it completed.

Sorry if this has already been answered.

Log it as SIC and note that it's dual. This way all your numbers make sense. I did exactly that and had no issue during my interview. Good luck.

Just received the interview invite — what’s the latest on when AA will put the PRIA request in? My current employer recently fired someone when a request came through. Trying to avoid that, obviously. Thanks.

On another note, I have this interview and a B6 interview coming up. BOS is the goal. I’m leaning towards B6, but AA has the retirements while B6 has the Spirit merger to worry about. I’m all ears for any advice.

No one can predict the future but for AA, BOS is only a 737 base with a grand total of 211 pilots. Not exactly a mega hub. JetBlue would seem to have more certainty with regards to BOS and the likely hood that a crew base will always be there. This isn’t to infer that there has been any talk about BOS going away at AA, there hasn’t. Just something to think about.

Also AA and JetBlue have this code share thing they’ve started recently, and it seems like AA has been ceding flying to JetBlue in the NE. As an example AA used to operate like 15 flights a day between BOS and LGA. Now it’s zero. Replaced by JetBlue code share. Doesn’t give me the warm and fuzzies about BOS.

BOS isn't going anywhere. Plus, the NEA is kaput once the B6/NK merger happens.
