So 5 more classes of 40 or so through mid November gets us over 2000. A number no one thought possible. Course the 3 month paid vacation after indoc means they really will have trained like 1600

Yeah, but those 400 that are waiting training are 400 that might have gone to a competitor otherwise, so still a win for AA on the hiring front.

For reference, all time record for AA was 2018 at 939. So about twice the all time record hires.

Do you guys know if the 2 classes scheduled for November have already been filled? Or if the people being classes now will be for January

Curious what ballpark % of folks in AA classes are coming from WO flow?

Do they hire from non wholly owned regionals as well?

Not sure of avg % of flows, but AA hires from everyone. Other regionals, 91/135, ACMI, mil, OALs. Good luck.

AA prefers to NOT hire from their WOs due to the lack of pilots they are currently experiencing there. It's not impossible to get hired outside coming from WO, it's just a lot harder. That goes for all regionals and their respective parent mainline.

a very ballpark figure from my new hire class. Say a third of each… flows, military, everyone else.
