1 day to 99 years
It all depends on what metrics you meet to trigger an interview

Does the base matter for NB cpt in 2 years llike some bases are more likely to have it in two years then others or is it the same in all bases

Yes. LGA is where you'll get those early upgrades

Default First few year's pay

Of course there are many variables, but from what I can see, I am guessing $90k, $120k, $140k. This would be for someone not pouncing on open trips - am I close? New contract can only be better...?

With inept acceptance of declining work rules, new contract could be a wash at best.

I don't expect to come anywhere close to $100 grand my first year. Your first 4 to 5 months there will be zero opportunities to make extra as you will be either in training or waiting for it. Then it will depend somewhat on where you go. The more senior the base the less likely there will be any premium or good OT trips left for you after it makes its way down the seniority list. In the same vein, it is also a lot harder to pick up OT over your reserve period touching a day off which is a good way to really rack up the credit hours. Also some bases just doesn't have any premium at all it seems like. You want to make money? Go to LGA or MIA where there is quick seniority progression. Otherwise count on making 76 to 86 hours a month plus ~$400 in perdium your first year.

Do you mind shedding a touch of light on your backround? Just curious because I don't have a degree and I'm wondering how much if any that will set me back.

I'm a regional CA 450 TPIC / 4,500TT all civilian.
