My point is pretty clear, creating a mainline senority list at the WOs is idiotic.

And that mentality is exactly why APA is watching the ship sail on well north of $1B that could have been for all AA pilots, including 4,000 additional dues paying members. Carry on sir.

I've flown with a number of Envoy guys that surprised me with their accounts of just how crappy many of the mainline AA guys have treated them over the years. I for one would be more than happy to have all the flying brought in-house, but I wonder if the APA thinks any such idea would be DOA with a majority of the pilot group. It's just a thought - I didn't come from a regional background and really have no idea.

"regional pukes".
"all legacy pilots should be air force"
"I don't care if I get furloughed, that's what my mil pension is for"

All actual comments from APA pilots.

Can't say i ever saw the same thing. Was always treated with respect from mainline, and I spent quite some time on the JS as a commuter.

As said before this would nuke off the street hiring at AA because nobody in their right mind would come to AA over DL or UA knowing that they will end up behind several thousand RJ pilots who are already senior to them the day they're hired. The only selling point AA has is rapid seniority advancement and that will be gone. Is AA prepared to do 100% of hiring from the WOs? Because thats what it will be outside of the handful of people who live in an AA base and can't/won't move.

That crap has been going on for decades. Nothing new. I remember well Delta pilots saying all sorts of things about us at Comair even though most of us had the same experience levels they did. Back in the day I suffered through many mainline jumpseat inquisitions and harangues especially during the RJDC lawsuit and mainline furloughs of the early 2000s.

I don't know the details of this event, but any face-time with recruiters is always good.
