All I said was that the FAA doesn’t care about everything in the FOM. They don’t care about uniform appearance or what order people are listed for the jumpseat, just that the person in the seat is qualified and CASS approved. As to adjusting pass travel, the parent company can do what ever they want. It’s our responsibility to get to work if we decide to commute. Sounds like AA is doing what UAL did when SkyWest made the jumpseat an issue. They just gave us a positive space listing. It usually wasn’t an issue, but SkyWest employees were left at the gate when they were bumped for a positive spaced UAL pilot who was denied the jumpseat.
