Again we’ll disagree but it doesn’t matter who benefitted.
I believe an equitable solution would be to fix the AAC v D6 issue. That is a problem that should not exist. You would get de facto priority due to being able to check in earlier.
If your paycheck doesn’t come from AA money you are OAL. Period.

But using the same logic if your paycheck doesn't come from Republic, you're OAL on our planes, too, except inasmuch as we provide you priority.
The seats in the back belong to AAG and you should have priority for those. Personally, I believe that jumpseat agreements should reflect the business relationship, too, but only if it goes both ways - the way it does for us on both United and Delta.
But sure, if we can agree that the AAC vs D6 issue needs to be fixed, I can work with that as a starting point for a common ground.

Again semantics. It was a hypothetical to illustrate a point. We fly their passengers too therefore would have priority on them…………..or not because flying some other airlines pax around shouldn’t give you anything.
Should we also give and get priority with oneworld partners? How far can we go?

If you think that your relationship with JetBlue and Alaska is important enough where you believe you should get priority then yes, petition your Jumpseat committee. If you think your relationship with us is important enough to receive priority, then maybe you should petition them also.
What so frustrating is seeing you guys cry foul saying it’s your flight on us then turn around a few posts later and say we’re the same as JetBlue and Alaska. Clearly different entities sometimes, only when it’s convenient to you.

We receive priority on your acft because those acft on those routes with those flt #s and the jobs they create wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for American Airlines. So yes, we should have priority just below RAH pilots on those flights. An RAH pilot in Newark who just finished a sequence flying United passengers should in no way have priority above other OALs on an American Airlines flight.

My man/gal it’s a hypothetical discussion. I do not at all believe we should have priority on JetBlue simply because we carry their pax.

So would you agree that the JetBlue/Alaska argument is silly because we ARE different? That argument is just a distraction.
To answer the EWR based pilots issue, I was EWR based for a year and was constantly reassigned in other hubs, mainly ORD, to fly AA. I could be wrong but one of my FO’s that is EWR based said there are some AA pairing’s out of there lately. As a side note, EWR pilots very rarely use AA, I never did when I commuted because AA barely flys there and it’s a pain to change terminals to get to UA.

I think we'd be fine with that. It would address the major issue at hand which is being forced to choose. At that point it's really a question of semantics.

They actually don’t have priority over the seats in the back. AAC has priority in the back of their own airplanes for nonrev purposes.

What do y’all hope to accomplish by this? I know not everyone hopes to fly for AA, but the chief of our hiring team is a pilot, our director of flight is a pilot, and pilots interview you. I heard that the republic algorithm was already the lowest tier of of the regionals, maybe it can get a little lower.

Well it wont hurt our hiring numbers too much with AA. We have like maybe 5 pilots a year get hired there. You don’t go to Republic if you want to work at AA.

They can have a gate agent convert to a D6 or make a D6 listing at the gate. I've seen it done, so anyone saying it can't be done is flat out wrong.
Beyond that, a D2 FDJ listing will be accepted, but only after any D6s.
