In any event you will all be welcome in my jumpsuit no matter how ugly this might get. The jump seat is sacred and I'll never let politics or egos keep any other pilot from riding in mine.

Oh yeah, most of us at RP are nothing at all like Chet. Cheers!

We aren't denying AA pilots access to the JS so don't even begin to compare the UA situation with this one. That's a completely false narrative. I agree with you that the JS is sacred. We cannot continue to give priority to AA when we are OAL on their JS. As a commuter I have missed many flights over the years because of that policy. It's especially fun after finishing an AE 5 day trip and missing out to an Allegiant pilot that's going on vacation. Giving AA equal treatment is not unfair in my eyes and hope it isn't in yours either

I'm aware of this but also experienced enough to know how ugly this could get. During the United tiff I'm proud to say I continued carrying United pilots. The union was wrong and I won't support a wrong position. No amount of argument would ever have diminished my confidence in the correctness of my actions during that ill conceived attempt at telling a codeshare partner how they should govern THEIR jump seats.

It was the other way around. UALPA tried to usurp priority on every JS and dictate they would go first on every single UE JS regardless if it was a UE preferred or non preferred carrier

RP was Chautauqua and we all became YX years ago. I’m having hard time believing you’re Republic because your account was created 5 hours ago.

Its amazing that you can take the time to type that out, and not see the glaring double standard, non-reciprocity. So to be clear, under your proposal an AA pilot would get bumped by a delta or a united pilot on about 2/3 of your jump seats, yet a RAH pilot would never get bumped by a delta or united pilot on any AA jump seat? Do I have that right? Lol I’m sure you do think it’s fair, and a great deal at that! Not for AA guys though who clearly aren’t getting reciprocity.

AA is already getting bumped off those seats, currently, before the proposal; and would continue to do so with no change. You're wanting to deny Republic this improvement that would come at no cost to you. You want to make them continue to suffer not because you get some benefit out of it, but just because you can.

I think it’s just going to be who checked in first regardless of if it’s D2, or D6. Seems fair and straight forward.
