No, I don't care who you do or don't like. I think you have a poor attitude and lack good judgment, maturity and decision making because of this:

Some of the Republic pilots who care about their future and job security may disagree with you.

My previous assessment of you stands. Grow up.

I realize this seems lopsided initially, but is offset by the fact that half the time, they are commuting on those other major networks. So in practice, they would be taking priority on 50%, not 100%, of your flights. (And as a reminder, that priority would still be 100% below you and below your WO regionals.)

And in the next breath they’ll say “It doesn’t matter that it’s American Eagle, its a Republic flight and the Captain owns the Jumpseat”.
This is only under option 2, mutual OAL (the one defaulted to by APA's response). Under option 1 (mutual priority under a new "non exclusive" tier, same as DAL and UA have) you would get priority above OAL on that AA branded flight.

AMERICAN AIRLINES pilots are OAL on 100% of AMERICAN AIRLINES flights “operated by republic.”

Hilarious.

So it will be republic CA’s marching the AA jump seater back up and grabbing the OAL to ride?

There is no proper procedure because it cannot be done, at least without some sort of reprogramming of the system. Will you be counting on the gate agents to manually apply your new FOM table to the way we're listed now (D2, etc)? Because if your new guidance is that we have to be listed as a D6 to occupy your jumpseat (to be fair this is what our guidance says about you), you've essentially cut us off from jumpseating on your metal altogether.

It’s not your status as a regional guy…it’s your attitude.

As an outsider, I’d love to see AA wind down RAH’s CPA over this flex and send that flying to envoy, Mesa, and SkyWest. That would be hilarious. And it would be a win-win for you guys, because then you guys would get JS priority on 100% of your mainline partners’ flights and you wouldn’t have to deal with those mean AA pilots!

Idk about other CAs but I'm a commuter so I always do the walk. If I have to do it to ensure the priority is followed correctly then that's what I will do. Our union hasn't even explained the details so I'm not going to jump the gun and say I'm enforcing this or that. Hopefully APA comes to their senses because the way this is going only hurts AAG pilots. If you feel getting the same treatment we get is unfair then perhaps you see why we have tried to get this changed in a manner that would not hurt a single AAG pilot. APA chose this option. I would also expect both JSers to be honest about who was at the gate first. If no one is honest then that'll be an interesting predicament.

Wouldn’t you want to see them wind down all regional operations?

I'm sure more details will be forthcoming. Until then I have no clue how this will be enforced
