Accept it’s not quite that simple. You’re operating in the American Airlines system. And if you think that you’re going to dictate that AA pilots lose out on a seat anywhere on that airplane, that’s flying in the AA network to say a Spirit pilot, then you’re delusional. Again let’s just see how this goes. Good luck.

Gotta say you’re pretty entitled to believe that APA should have special treatment on RAH metal and not reciprocate.

Post 211 does not state that YX owns the seats in the back. It is you who cannot comprehend that AA does not own the YX JS. Are you one of the AA pilots I've had that walk on my flight deck and tell me I'm up here without saying hi or introducing themselves? When I JS I always say hello and ask for a ride regardless of what airplane I'm on. Even on my own company metal I still ask

Kind of like you guys saying that you should have priority no matter where you go. Dal? Yup priority over everyone. UAL? Yup. AA? Yup there too. Isn’t that convenient. No matter what airline you try to JS on you should have higher priority then everyone else. And again, AE is not offline for AA pilots. The operator changes all the time, just check the MIA flights recently. What’s constant is our priority.

You seem to believe that because it is an American Eagle flight Operated by Republic that you as an AAG are entitled to that JS. That is not the case. You will still have priority for the seats in the back because those are controlled by AA. But for the JS? No.

No, we’re under the impression that we are another airline (OAL) and we control OUR Jumpseat priority. Ticket sales are not what holds the power in dictating JS priority. It‘s RAH’s Jumpseat, if APA wants to get better priority then maybe they should negotiate, otherwise we will be equal to each other in our own respective Jumpseat. Pretty simple.

The difference between that situation and ours is that we fly for all 3 codeshares regularly. Just last month I worked 3 trips. 1 AA, 1 DL, and 1 UA.
Our pilots also can and are routinely reassigned to work all 3 codeshares in one trip just by being on reserve or IROPS.
You feel status quo is fair? I just finished flying an AA trip and get bumped off an AAG JS by an OAL? Well that's fine you're entitled to your opinion. You want to pretend YX pilots don't contribute to AA's bottom line that's fine. It's called a Reciprocal Agreement. Please Google Reciprocal.

True ticket sales don't dictate weather or not a CA has to allow any pilot for that matter on their JS, however which company cashes checks from which company? Is it AA cashing checks from Republic or Republic cashing checks from AA? Follow the money...CA's don't write the FOMs the company does. Anyways...i can also inform you that I would guesstimate about 95% of AA pilots don't even know this is going on, but start giving JS to non AA pilots on AA branded flights and you will have everyone's attention...guess we will see how that goes.....tell your company or union to develop a system of separating pilots as AE pilots based on the amount of AE branded flying they do for 6 months or whatever, they can figure something out, hate to see this battled out in the cockpit.
