I get being stuck between a rock and a hard place, I just cant see this ending well if it continues to its logical conclusion.
I find it much more plausible that a RAH pilot is living in a RAH pilot than a AA one is living in theirs..

I think it’s more likely a RAH pilot is not living in a RAH pilot.

there are many carriers that have JS privileges with other air carriers that are not without restriction in one direction, but not the other. Lots of smaller carriers will fill an empty EAS route flight with jumpseaters in every seat, yet do to their size or structure only get 1 or a few JS on any individual flight. You guys with your fewer planes, fewer seats are already getting the same JS as larger carriers with 3-4 times the fleet size and flying two to three times the available seats on each flight.

Reciprocal JS agreement does not in any way mean the same privileges in both directions. Ask your JS coordinator, they’ll verify that’s accurate.
Such as? Do you mind giving specific examples?

Several carriers are only allowed 1 JS pilot on a single AA branded flight regardless of how many seats in back there are.
I'm no longer a JS coordinator and haven't been since 2017. Ask your JS coordinator, they will have the complete list of who gets to do what. Used to be called the D6U (as in U for unlucky). I'm sure you are going as an unrestricted D6, correct?

Reciprocal JS agreement does not mean identical privileges; that's the point.
Your JS coordinator knows it, and I'm sure your union reps knew before starting this same argument for the third time.

Your JS status on AA is exactly the same as a United, Delta, Southwest, Jetblue or Alaska pilot. You get the exact same JS benefits as them.... and still better than dozens of places that only get 1 JS per flight. Does your size/route structure/seat availability even come close to what DL, UA, SW, AK, JB offer? No, it doesn't... but it is of large enough value that you aren't grouped with the D6U.

You speak with such confidence. D6u does not mean only one of you gets on though. I’m not saying you are completely wrong, you have to be coming from somewhere, but D6u does not blankety mean 1 jumpseat.

Thank god you are no longer a Jumpseat coordinator because your view of giving unrelated things like ticket sales, fleet size, contractor vs contracted actual merit and weight to Jumpseat privilege is appalling.
