I know you've never had the responsibility of being a CA but all one needs to do is put on their big boy pants and take the walk and have a polite conversation with the gate agent. Most gate agents welcome help from CAs on determining on who gets the JS.

That may occur on a rare occurrence but I would be willing to bet that a significant amount of time most AA gate agents won't give a **** and will do what the CA says especially after the CA shows them the FOM.

Or it won’t, it all depends on the how much the Jumpseaters and gate agent want to escalate things. Most people don’t like conflict. It’s not AA’s Jumpseat Cujo.

AA management has directed the gate agents to refuse to issue 1Ws out of order. It will occur most times you try to play your little game.

My rep stated that rpa wants priority on 100% of AAG flights yet is only offering priority on 30% of RPA flights. He also said UAL and DL are to going relook at the RPA priority.
Republic does 50% AA flying.

UA gives Republic and the regionals whether wholly owned or not priority on their own metal when nonreving. DL also gives us priority but it's equal to DL employees and goes by Date of Hire.

What's the obsession of APA with nonrev benefits when talking about the JS?

DL, UA, AS already give priority to their regionals for the JS. Doesn't seem to be a problem for them. Considering nothing else in that statement is correct I would venture to say it is yet another lie from APA.

yawn, so many lies have come out of APA and some of the pilot group of AAG you just can't believe anything anymore. I am sure this is full of half truths and some outright lies.

I talked to a few yesterday and they had no idea what was going on. I think they may have been contracted agents though.

He's referencing the letter from Local357 which asks them to list D6 via myIDtravel or if they can't to have the gate agent convert the listing. AA has the ability to call myIDtravel and have them turn on D6 for AAG employees but so far that hasn't happened. They can't list D6 so the gate agents have to convert D2 to D6 or list them D6 at the gate (they can do either one) but as we all know the AA gate agents are extremely helpful when we try to list at the gate

They are just an angry bunch. I mean wouldn't you be bitter too if you worked for an AAG? I mean the only ones to furlough, verge of bankruptcy, hitting light poles, FAA safety concerns, shall I go on? AA pilots also seem to be the most angriest over the radio too. They are always getting into fights with ATC and other aircraft.
