“Hard Landings” is an excellent read. One of my favorites. It was recommended to me in the mid to late 90’s by a Delta L-1011 CA when I was on his jumpseat headed up to LGA from FLL. He called it Required Reading for any airline pilot, and he was right. I couldn’t put it down. Written by a Wall Street Journal writer.

Flying the Line 1 and 2 are cheesy rah rah pro-ALPA. They turned me off, honestly, and yet I’m fine with ALPA. The books, though, are over the top.

"Moondog's Academy of the air & other disasters" by Pete Fusion.

On the lighter side.

Just realized that I got hit with my phone's auto-correct. The authors name is Pete Fusco.

"Sky gods" is essential reading for anyone interested in the early history of Pan Am leading up to its demise in 91. In my next life I wanna be a rock star or a Pan Am 707 captain!
