Default Min day

I know we desperately need the "min day" fixed. Do y'all think we have a shot at it soon? How can we continue to help APA get this done?

Take your vacation. Don't fly fatigued or sick. Stay out of make up. If you want to trade, trade below the line. Hydrate...gonna be a long summer!

Guys are getting burned out being gone 18 days a month. If the company wants people to give up their vacations, they're going to need to make a big QOL improvement.

Better trips would work out for the company also. A lot of people are getting fatigued. No one wants to inconvenience passengers or cancel stuff, but some crazy trips are getting designed. You really have to keep an eye on the 9 hour limit these days . (I have seen a couple with only about 20 mins of pad-what could go wrong with that?)

Just saw a 1 day 2220 departure to DEN, land and fly the Red Eye back. Not smart in my book. At least with the 190 all nighters, they were short legs with 6 hours or so in the hotel between legs.

No more all nighters on the 190. With the JCBA the new rig made them pay too much so they turned into 30 hour overnights.

How did that work, it was a single duty period, so should have paid 5:10 right?

Turns like that have been common for a long time. AA has done them for decades out of ORD and DFW to LAS and the west coast.

You get paid sit time so it was something like 10 hrs

I’m all for the min day but this isn’t going to go over like you think it will. You think the pairings suck now? Wait until the braintrust take Doug’s adage of ‘how can we save more money on paper’ and really make the trips suck. 4 leg redeyes, embedded redeyes, etc, oh there’s no limit to what they’ll hoist on us. I can guarantee one thing, it won’t be the 15:30 cake run.
