Seems like the 320 new hire slots gave dropped off. Maybe 737 guys coming off their 737 lockins and switching to the 320 is reducing 320 new hire slots while keeping the 737 new hire demand high??

Delivery schedule -
A. B
2017. 20. 24. (4 Max)
2018. 0. 16. All MAX's after 2017
2019-2022. All Neo's starting in 2019
25. 20

How much longer will the E190's be on property?
Also, if awarded E190 in training but your first choice is B737, how long before one can get that bid?
Thanks!

Too many variables there (base/award cycle) But the maximum should be 18 months-21 months. 6 month seat lock, few months waiting for an award, plus 12 month maximum withhold on E190.

So basically bid what you want and hope for the best?!
I ask because, luckily if I get an opportunity with AA, I'll be one of the young ones in the class (32)

32? You'll get what they give you and you'll like it!!! ;-)

E190's demise is unknown. Various rumors.

190 can go senior. At onetime it had quicker advancement. Good for commuters. When you're withheld you get the larger a/c's pay. So you might be an E190 line holder getting A320 pay.

Haha...well said sliceback!

I'm continue to wait patiently!
Luckily, I'm currently left seat on the E175, hopefully that will make training easier if I get stuck on that airplane!
Thanks for the reply!

While you're waiting patiently continue to improve your resume and put yourself out there, both to help the company/union/coworkers and at job fairs.

Good luck. But whatever you do avoid the E-190. Some of the most miserable people in the world fly the E jets, to include E-175's.

But E-170 guys are cool. Bid that if you have the opportunity.

humor/sarcasm - just posted on another thread that background doesn't predicate personality.... except for E - pilots. ;-)))

Slice I think a reason for the AB drop off is the 300ish AB pilots that have left PHX over the last 6 months. I think now that they are at the level they want in Phx you will see more AB tng in the future. Just a guess but seems reasonable.
