What does the D or I at the end mean? And the number at the end -- is that how many there were?

So I understand this - The lower the number means the MORE senior you have to be? So... to get DFW in 737 or A320, then you need to be 14013 or LOWER. What is aircraft are flying out of LAX right now? What about DFW?

Thanks in advance for any tips in deciphering all of this...
Yes.
LAX has B-737, A-320, B-787, B-777
DFW has MD-80, B-737, A-320, B-767, B-787, B-777

DFW had a backlog of guys trying to get in and this last bid helped a lot with that. DFW will probably start seeing more junior guys on future bids. The last several new hire classes have had DFW- MD-80 slots. That will probably be done at the end of June or sooner because of the displacements from STL.

American had Domestic and International divisions. US Airways did not. With the merger all US Airways pilots were considered international. That's why PHX, CLT, PHL, and DCA A-320 only have international. The contract allows the company to combine divisions. They are doing it slowly.

Any idea how long to hold a line in LAX on the Airbus? How about 73?

Junior LAX/320/FO lineholder for May is 14636 (Aug ‘17 hire).

Junior LAX/737/FO lineholder for May is 14543 (Jul ‘17 hire).

Talking A320 only, can’t speak to 73 or 76. It’s the most Jr group 4 base for F/O’s.

So bottom line, if you live near Philly and are happy there, you’re in a good spot.
Thanks! Good to hear. Buddy in my Sq is bottom dude in PHL 320 pool and has been for >6 mos. I’m in the May 15th indoc and live 30 mins from the airport so 320 there is my goal. If I have to do LGA for a little while it will be worth it to get checked out on the bus then bid in when able.

If you live near PHL, I’d definately put the 190 as your second choice behind PHL AB, LGA AB third. Pay is the same first year, then you’ll be held at AB pay second year worst case. Bonus is that if you’re pure military fighter (I was) you’ll really learn a ton flying the 190 your first year in the northeast. Lots of quick legs in challenging airspace/airports.

If you're a PHL guy I'd put the E190 down as #1. Then put your bid in for the PHL 320. If that drops to your seniority you'll either get the award or even better get withheld from it. You get paid the higher rate while enjoying the seniority of the 190 and never have to commute.

My recommendations -
1. PHL E190
2. PHL 320
3. LGA 320 (If you're 30 minutes from PHL you can sit reserve from home).
4. MIA 320

You really want the 320 vs the 737 if you're a PHL guy.

Good luck.
