That makes sense, thanks! I wasn't sure what was meant by an additional training in a year.

There is a ton of memorization on the thing, the sims are old and suck, and the flying is a lot harder than doing transcons.

BUT, it is a lot of fun and you get some street cred with the nAAtives. And the tee-way guys are pretty cool too, very similar to the LUS east crowd.
How's the flying harder than transcons?
Is the S80 full of TWA guys?

WOW. Nice way to welcome a new comer.

To the fella waiting for CLT. Hang in there it will happen. I myself have been waiting for entry to a base for over 2 years.

I believe the airbus will see strong movement again in 2019 when we begin to take our neo deliveries as the neo will go to LAX first the diffuse to other bases in the system. Rumor is PHX then PHL to take advantage of the long legs. This should move some metal around creating manning changes.

Second rumor is the 737 in PHX/CLT. This would be a good question to bring up to Vasu. It’s gone quite for a wile but I hear that it’s still being looked at and debated. This event alone would mix up manning and create some movement in those bases as well.

No just unimpressed with the entitlement mentality of some flows that's all.

The hardest part of a transcon is staying attentive.

The S80 is a fun plane I'm glad I bid it but if you don't need to do it (to be DFW based) don't do it. IMO. Go 737 or A320.

Are you serious right now? You have no clue who I am or how I feel! Entitled is not one of them. Feel free to meet me for coffee sometime in anyone of the 14 Starbucks we have in the CLT terminals while I wait for my commute to MIA and I'll enlighten you all you want to my so called "entitled" attitude.

So before you go off spewing diarrhea out of your pie hole, know your audience!

Btw, coffee on me! I'd offer you a beer but seeing as though I'll be commuting to work not necessarily that smart.

So I'll sit in MIA and hope someday soon these retirements happen sooner then later.
Well you could give up your flow spot to someone who doesn't mind sitting a year or two in MIA with a hell of a career in front of them and apply OTS to another airline. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Still amazed at the entitlement attitude, but I wasn't a flow and was happy as a clam to ride the bus to essington and sit in a pad in the winter vs driving to work.

CLT is a very senior base if you plan on staying there just keep that in mind.

The other alternative is bid the S80 so when you displace if there is someone junior to you in CLT you can force your way in without an opening.

BTW the Sherry pad is killer hope you can get in.

Thanks for the advice! From the sounds of things the S80 will be gone by the time I'm ready to apply.
