This probably effects 1700 of you, and more every month, so maybe come together and start complaining loudly to the APA (a la LOS now). Otherwise nothing will happen. This doesn’t effect me, but I have sent sound offs and complained on “American Voice”. Good Luck, I’m with you on it.

Already in the works. Sound offs sent nearly daily from those affected using the DOH Now slogan (Date of Hire). Someone did the math and it is a significant amount of money lost over the 12 years of annual raises.

Only 24 pilots instead of the 40 projected...interesting.
Any news on why that number is lower than projected? I wonder if Delta has overtaken us to be the largest airline in the world yet.

Could be that training is completely backed up. We're farming out 737 and Airbus sims, in addition to going full tilt on ours.

That and we've got to do software upgrades on the sims. This might be the time frame they're doing it.

This affects way more than 1700. EVERY LAA pilot hired has this stupid 2-3 months after starting training pay date. It's ridiculous. You know I'm generally not a complainer, but this one issue has always been a sore spot for me. How in the he11 did the union ever buy off on that little tidbit?!

But after LOS goes through, only about 1700 are below the 12 year mark (2100 new hires -LUS assigned guys in 2014/15), and would gain from this. There in lies the problem, Senior guys don’t care and some probably figure, “I had it that way, you should too”.

Thank Crandall for it (and the APA back then).

I'm in this Feb 6th class. East coast guy. If I end up with Lax 737 how long before I can switch bases roughly? Do you think I could be lga 737 based before I'm finished with training??

Yes, ask the guy who comes in on drop day if you can switch to lga, if not, you’ll get it on the next award I bet.

1/23 drop - 15 of the bottom 19 slots were LGA 737.

It looks like that might be the least popular choice.

Good luck and welcome aboard.
