The LAX Airbus for Sep 22nd class is “international”. I’m assuming that’s not to say it’s only international flying from the LAX airports. Sounds like more exciting flying compared to domestic flying from NYC but I’ve been told most reserve flying out of NYC is either JFK or LGA; whereas LA flying is spread all over and the Uber ride is long and $$$. Trying to do some research before making any decisions. Thanks for any insight!

Any thoughts which will be the better choice considering: ease of base cover, crashpad availability and accessibility, ease of commuting from DFW, quickest award of DFW transfer?

I’m not doubting your info, just curious where you’re seeing that on internal company/union sources? I see the Oct 6 and 20 classes planned, just not the added one… simply curious as to source is all. Good news for sure!
Also, not sure what’s up with every class being 737 “D” when CL said in one of his podcast things that NY is the next to combine all “I”… seems to make more sense to train them all now in “I”, but I’m sure it’s all part of a bigger plan I don’t see.

I can’t say which will allow getting to DFW first and that is a big part of this if you can figure that out. However, I’ve been based in both as a new guy and commute from the middle. I found LGA to be more challenging and painful. Also been on both aircraft and I’d much prefer the bus. You also get an extra hour on the commute in to LAX vs losing time going to LGA to start work. You would likely see most of the country from either base, but only HI from LAX. Many of the HI trips have redeye returns which could get you home same day. Welcome! We been waiting long enough for you to finally get to work here. What took you so long…
