Bunch of LGA 737 Intl. Big increase just like the CA side. I wonder if they're just doing all this in preparation to merge domestic and international? Fewer pilots to send to class when the merge happens...

I know there will be none... but that would be the biggest scumbag move to be a no show to this class!

How long have you been in aviation? Did you not see what JUST happened with United? Do you think AA would not even flinch to furlough pilots at a moments whim or even to cancel this class last minute? If someone doesn’t want to take a HUGE risk by taking this class, no one would blame them, because that is exactly what that is, a huge gamble, especially if you have a steady job and a family to feed.

Well that is a big decision to make for sure, but if there are a handful of people that have the option to stay where they are and retain higher seniority in a job that can put food on their tables versus leave for the unknown, I can't say I would personally hold it against them.

my point was they should notify AA so their seat can (maybe) be filled by someone who wants it. I agree that we all have to do what’s best for us.

If a furlough was pending, you'd arguably be a fool to not show up and get a number... Especially if you can avoid giving notice at your current employer

If you don’t think the hiring offices talk to the old airlines, you are gambling. PRIA request, employment verification and back channel comms, you would be risking getting laid off, not furloughed, from both.

Anyone else think it is not a bad thing that we are not getting daily updates on Jetnet?
