The current seniority list shows 4 pilots hired this year have resigned.

Don’t have a definitive, but I suspect very few have left, probably about the same # that leave delta or united to come here. I suppose it depends where you live.

The list shows resignations starting in July (August list) they accumulate and remain in blue on the list until the next August. It’s updated every month with new hires and shows any new resignations for that month. As of the Nov 2018 list, 4 2018 hires have resigned since July. Due to getting a new iPad, I lost all of my old lists, so I don’t know how many resigned before July. I’d guess 1 or 2.

Someone will ask so here is where to find the list, it is usually updated around the 7th of the month.

APA, Comittees, Membership, click on Seniority List and Projections (above the New Hire Photo) select “Seniority List”. Of note the APA seniority Calculator is right above that. It is more useful than the AApilots one, because you can run any pilot’s number. So if you have a friend trying to get on, you can find a newhire close to their age and project pretty accurately where they would sit.

When someone doesn’t show up to class I don’t think it comes up as a resignation.

Delta is running their first class in months next week. Apparently made up of people who interviewed in April(!). I personally know several folks with DAL CJOs who have subsequently been hired by SWA/FE/UPS/UAL/AA, and have since started at their respective company, with zero intention of going to DAL. I also know at least one guy who left DAL after a year for a more appealing AA domicile. I’m sure there are those who’ve done the same going to DAL.

Delta is obviously a phenomenal place to work (as are all of the Big 6), with arguably the best overall combination of pay/work rules (for now). But they’ve hired a ton of folks since 2014. One could argue that we are beyond peak Delta in terms of a hiring wave. That point isn’t lost on those getting multiple offers in 2018-2019.

Can you explain how the different columns are calculated? The rows make sense, but something isn't clicking for me why they have multiple columns... especially since there's a small (and varying) delta b/w the numbers in 2017 vs 2018
