AA Class Drops

Correct, basically. And good question.
Cost me about $6k in the two month delay from year 1 to 2 pay alone, and is a gift that will keep on giving for twelve years. Also nice is that folks hired after and junior to me get their raises on DOH so I’m paid less than them for two months each year.
First world problem, but yeah it’s BS.

He’s probably referring to the fact that USAirways continued hiring until about July of 2014. So both sides were hiring. We were slotted by DOH on the seniority list. Even after hiring was consolidated, new hires were assigned either LUS or LAA and treated as such. USAirways hires (I was one) are given raises on their DOH and were given the 401K contribution in year 1. Then we pretty much used LAA’s contract for everything...so we got to keep this crappy deal that the APA gave to Crandal in the 80’s. I’m not affected by it, but am a big proponent of fixing it. Email your reps and the NC.

It’s like the stock market when looking at class drops - past performance is no guarantee of future performance.
MIA is back after being NORDO for months. PHL 190? MIA.
DFW S80? Premature rigor mortis? LAX? A trickle. Used to be like the golden flow after a pitcher of beer. PHX? Come, and gone, in a flash. Lots of LGA? Fuhgedaboutit. True in the past, fake news now. 767? Ah, the good old days.
Be prepared for six possible bases and four different aircraft. And keep in mind 80%+ might go to one bid status.
