That’s 766 which is 76 new hires a month avg through Oct. They should hire in Nov but may not in Dec so hopefully 76 more for a total of.....

842 for the year. You’re disappointed with that?
I doubt we will get 842. They always are about 200 under the goal.

Last year actual hires was 645.

200 under 900 would be just a bit above last year’s actual (700 vs. 645).

200 under 730 would be a ways under last year’s actual (530 vs. 645).

What is your current thinking for this year’s hiring, relative to that number?

(As reference, in Jan 2018 you forcasted 600 hires on this thread. Slice pointed out the 2017 forecast was 625 hires, actual was 645 hires.)

The company planned on hiring 750 last year, FYI.

Anyone know what the current wait time is from indoc to initial aircraft training? Specifically the 190. When I went through it was 3-5 weeks for the 73 and bus and only 7-10 days or so for the 190. I'm hearing rumors that the training is getting backed up. The 190 only has 1 sim and I remember that causing some issues.

Asking for a friend.

Thanks!

We had 6 slots in March 20th. 2/3/4 weeks off were the start dates. Sim went AOG two days ago. Bad time right before MV and LOE. Question about it. Now I’m being told I’ve been rescheduled for loe on Sunday. Which was a day off. My schedule showed me w 3 days off before my IOE block starts. I need to do my obs next week (if I pass of course) will I be given a extra day off next week? Or am I iust SOL and now only have 2 days off to do observations before my IOE block?

PM me for a training scheduling contact. She was great to work with and fairly flexible with observation flights and OE scheduling. IIRC, they have to give you at least 48 hours off after your sim check observation flight availability and they won't schedule you for OE flights until your observation flights are complete.

Does anyone have the numbers from the latest class?

I heard no more S80 slots, probably because they are winding down the training program. I have a friend flowing next month and he was hoping for it.

I'm a current S80 pilot I was told 10 per month thru August. The issue is existing pilots that were withheld are being awarded the S80 thus they aren't going to new hires.

For aircraft line bidding purposes, is SJU considered a -D or -I? I now it is really a domestic destination, but just not sure if it is in the -D or -I lines.

That would be for the I partition. From what I can tell if you fly over any significant body of water you need the intl qual.
