Interesting that you protect the identity of the airline you were trying to jumpseat on but don't do the same for the pilot... trying to lump all Allegiant pilots into one group or are you trying to "out" all of the Allegiant pilots who commute out of SAN?
I think your frustration should have been directed towards the gate agent as they were the deciding factor as to whom received the jumpseat.

I'm curious about whether or not the person who got the J/S is an actual employee or a former employee. If they are a current employee, doesn't that normally mean they have priority? The original poster doesn't seem to break that out properly...

...or mention anything about the flight an hour later or the next :30 after that, but that's none of my business.

....and when did they extend the "holiday" to the previous Saturday? (I'm guessing it was Saturday since there was no 8:20 flight today) A lot of hyperbole in the OP's very first post, not good for credibility....almost as if someone created a new username just to troll.

The purpose of this thread, the only purpose is to call "Tammy" out for making a bad choice today. Simple as that.

Everyone can probably agree that the CA may have been able to do more, and that the gate agent could have comtributed to this outcome also but the ultimate responsibility was with "Tammy" to make the moral choice and wait her turn or to use her connection with her old work friend to take advantage of the opportunity.

The only reason I chose to be vague about the airlines was that as a commuter you all kniw how much great help you get with all airlines and agents on any given day, so to name the airline is to throw them under the bus. One persons actions do not justify such.

Also, the only reason the bankrupt J/Ser and associated airline are named is so she can be accountable by her peers for the decision she made.

Oh, and to not ignore the question above....HOT is in the eye of the beholder. Hot or not she became shallow Hal ugly after that move.

Did I miss something here? Where was john when the J/S was issued to Tammy? Was the author of this thread a witness to the events that took place... or is opt his one of those "heard the story from the 7-11 cashier?

Seems to be a bit of a discontinuity.

Someone call the whaaaaaambulance!!! Commuting sucks. I recommend moving into base. It's pretty pathetic you registered on APC to cry about your commute. Nobody cares.

This thread wins the days award for most useless thread. "I heard from my sister-in-laws baby cousin you was all hooked up with someone, now tell me who she is."

If Tammy doesn't get home, who's going to cook Thanksgiving dinner?

Good point. Did you ever consider that Commuterdawg? Won't you please think of Tammie's turkey instead of yourself next time?
