I don't even know where to start, there's just so much. Maintenance is abysmal. The company and maintenance control have a move the metal at all cost mentality that leaves crews constantly double checking to make sure the aircraft is safe and legal. And if you miss something you can expect a meeting at HQ to "discuss" it. The level of scrutiny is ridiculous. And with firings that appear unwarranted in most cases, it's obvious this place is in full witch hunt mode. Once you get past all that you'll enjoy our joke of a PBS system that doesn't honor seniority and only cares about operational need. Get awarded out of seniority order?? You must have bid wrong...let us better explain how you need to bid. The only way the contract is going to get done is with a strike to force the issue, but even then most of us believe that won't fix the operation or maintenance problems. Only a complete upper management change will start a change there. Attrition this year is at about 10% and it's only going to continue to go up. This is just scratching the surface, I'm sure others can add on or you can read the previous pages and posts...Google Allegiant air and watch/read the news reports about issues. The information is out there and 99-100% spot on. Buyer beware.
And just because, you take pride in your work, like your job and call out people spewing hatred online, doesn't mean you pick mission modes. Come on guys, we are supposed to be professionals! (Direct quote from Reservoir Dogs!

It was my first post with this name. Because the new name of the game is intimidation. What other airline threatens to cut your pay if you don't extend, and thats just a very minor issue. For those who say this stuff doesn't happen to you I wonder if you're sitting behind a desk or are in a scab list. Those are the only ones that would defend this place. I know I'm just some anonymous ass on APC. But If I can prevent a good pilot from making the mistake to come to G4 I've done a good deed. For those contemplating it, I urge you to not show up to class.

How many people have been fired lately and how many have filed lawsuits against the company? I've heard rumors of one being fired for leaking information to the press and he wasn't even the one who leaked the info.
Disco,
If you've never encountered shady mx dealings at G4 you haven't been looking at the mx log.
If you haven't been screwed over while bidding, you must love having no power over your schedule and love having only tuesdays and saturdays off month after month.
If you haven't been left in the dark by dispatch and paid for it by flying 2 1/2 hours to a closed airport, well then maybe you're not the VP Flight Ops...

How exactly were you threatened with a cut in pay for not extending?

Scab list is online, just google it.
And for you defenders of Ghetto 4. It's only a matter of time before you shut down an engine and have to endure EG inquisition. And yes, I have been asked to move broken metal, a lot. Yes the AB tells everyone, but then the question when you call is always "well, did you write it up?" for f@$k sake.......
For those of you with half a neuron, look up the contributing factors for VJ. If the parallels don't scare the heck out of you, you are not human.

If you have a 4 leg day and it's delayed. When they ask if you'll extend half way through it, and you deny the extension, they'll pull you off the trip and tell you that due to the way merlot talks to payroll you won't get paid for the second half. It's an "accounting issue" they say.

So quit, leave and don't let the door hit you on the way out. I'm happy here for the most part. I'll be even happier after we strike for a great contract. I have never been pushed to fly any broken planes. I have never been badgered by management or scheduling. I've never been tdy'd or had a scheduled overnight. Life is better than it ever was at my last airline.
I almost didn't come to Allegiant because of the APC doom and gloomers like you. From my experience at Allegiant, the vocal minority that like to change their screen names every other month, are nothing but a bunch of prima donna crybabies. If you want to go to a legacy so bad, then go already. If you think regionals are better than G4, then go. I'm sure they would be happy to have you. I make more money 2nd year here than I ever did as an RJ captain. It will be an awesome place after we get a contract.
