It's in North Carolina. You can read all about it here.

It's a very small 2 plane base. Most junior CA was recently awarded to a 8/15 hire. Most senior FO is also a 8/15 hire and most junior FO is an 8/16 hire. There really hasn't been a whole lot of movement in the base lately and I wouldn't expect that to change much while the airline focuses more on fleet transition and less on growth. The pax loads have been pretty good since the base opened about 1.5 years ago but if the economy changes it would be on the top of the list for closing. It is currently MD80 but set to transition to Airbus at the end of this year.

Any chance?
I've been reading through this thread for a while, trying to get a feel for how things are with Allegiant and how pilots are viewing its future. The thread is pretty long and it seems like a lot has happened over the past couple of years. I apologize if my questions repeat some that may have been asked previously. I may have missed similar questions in the thread or I'm just looking for the most current info.
I'm a retired AF pilot, 3500 hrs in 135s and T-1s. Been out of the cockpit for about 3 yrs while I've been a sim IP. Im contemplating leaving that world and returning to the cockpit. I'm lacking in currency/recency (other than in the sim and some GA flying) so I figured the regionals would be where I'm headed. But I was wondering about Allegiant. Would I stand a chance or are there just too many more current applicants in the mix? Thoughts?
Also, I'm currently living in Tampa. I have no interest in moving. But there are a number of Allegiant locations relatively close, within easy driving distance (PIE, PGD, SFB). Wondering where those go in terms of new hire assignments and any info anyone has on those locations.
Thanks in advance.

Current Allegiant FO (VBD.) A guy in my interview class had a very similar background to yours and got the job no problem. I can't remember how long he was out of flying, but I'm pretty certain it was about a year. SFB is junior, at least on the MD80. Shouldn't take you more than a few months to hold PIE, but expect to be on the bottom of the seniority list for a while. However, anything on the Airbus side I'm probably not the best person to ask. You may get stuck in Oakland for a very brief period

Apply. Your lack of currency shouldn't be an issue with your background.

Not very reliable when this was posted a month ago from the same website.

Allegiant Travel Company: Investors Should Expect A Rough Landing $ALGT

Both articles may have truth, and they don’t necessarily cancel each other out just because they have contrasting titles. One article is focused on the drop of earnings per share and valuation, the other is an analysis of business strategy and growth potential. Also, AMTradestrats says P/E ratio is very high compared to the rest of the industry and investors are paying a premium to get our stock, despite falling earnings per share… meaning investors are still confident in the future growth potential of G4.
I just wanted to share an article that contained some analysis of the company. A few posters have been asking about our thoughts of the stability of Allegiant and I found this article relevant.
