If you can get to a meet and greet you may have an opportunity to explain why your interested. I would say most pilots over the last few months that received an interview attended one. I think the next one is in Dallas in a week or so.
Also in the past people got the TBNT email and a couple days later got a call.

Well, that's a fair question (by the way, I was not a Pilot in the Navy, so all my time is civilian). Quite honestly, I like the home basing scenario and the possibility of a shorter upgrade. I'm late 40's so it really helps me to maximize my pay before retirement (if all goes well with your contract).

The phone interview is their main screening tool; don't take it lightly. Expect some TMAAT questions, why Allegiant, what do you know about Allegiant, why not JBU/Spirit, have you ever declared an emergency, etc.

There are commuters, but I can't imagine their home life is all that great! FLL is about the only base you can really commute to directly. All other bases, you'll likely have to commute to the nearby 'major' airport: RSW for PGD, TPA for PIE, & MCO for SFB. Pay for parking, airport car, & Crashpad that you'll spend a LOT of time in are all considerations. In SFB, crashpads aren't cheap, compared to what I used to see around JFK.

I think it's a QOL thing...do you want to do that drive DAILY?? The pitfall of 'home every night' is a daily local commute. I'm :15 from the lot, which is a joy compared to my previous :45 to MCO, then employee bus, hike through TSA, run for the gate & the commute to JFK or DTW. The nice thing about SFB is there is a wide range of decent housing opportunities within a respectable driving distance.

Just some food for thought. As you know, I post my contact info on here, mainly so people interested in allegiant can get some inside info on the general stuff. In the last year or so, I've had over 70 people text/call/message me with questions. For whatever reason, a bunch of these guys (at least 15-20) got turned down at some step in the interview process (these are just the ones I heard about)... A few with a glaring issue, but many with nothing discernible that I could see. So, for those thinking that our hiring has reached critical mass, I can tell you with 100% certainty, for whatever reason, we are still rejecting some, seemingly qualified pilots.
