I sure am interested in seeing that contract. To see how the company goes from 4 and a half years of Frank Lorenzo attitudes and "we will never work with a Union" to 4 months of "hey guys let's get this done ASAP!" and hopefully not bewitching the negotiating committee in the process.
We know pay guarantee will probably go up 4 or 5 hrs per month and top Captain will be around Alaska airlines Captain pay, with the largest pay bumps at the more junior FO pay scales. With so many commuters holding their breath I wonder if the commuters will get a break or they will just have to pack sand.
Congratulations everyone. The teeth of the negotiating committee is the pilots, and the solidarity is pretty strong. The strike vote obviously had its effect, if not immediate. Everyone, from the Union leadership to every pilot worked hard to get this TA. Now the pilots will merit the Union's work, and vote on a passing grade or not.
Now will Maury pull the ripcord on his golden parachute now that he has a contract to deal with by selling or "retiring"? or do we merge? My guess is the attitude change at the table is because of one of these reasons. He's got a plan, and not having a contract interfered and that's the only reason we have one to vote on, now.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you see this TA.

I think you are vastly underestimating the resolve & determination of the NC & EXCO; way to spread FUD before we even know any details.

Agreed. These guys deserve some credit. I trust they would never forward something sub par. I'm willing to bet it's pretty decent. They've done their homework

It's easy for DL and WN to vote down their TA when they are already working under an excellent one. Allegiant pilots are not in that situation, and we need to set the baseline as soon as possible. I'm pretty sure the contract will be good enough to get well over 50% to vote yes.

I agree, I don't have high hopes but I do trust the negotiating committee wouldn't come to us with $5/hour when the company already offered way above that long ago.
I'm not worried at all about the pay scale. I am worried about everything including profit sharing, retirement, sick leave, vacation, LTD, duty/trip rigs and pretty much everything else. I also hope to see a clause that includes a yearly increase of say 3-5% and that is indefinite, not just the life of the contract. We've seen how ruthless this management will be so I'd like to continue to get raises even if we are well past the amenable date. I'll hold off on any high fives for now but we are definitely moving in the right direction.

Oh, please...this is the same management team (with a few notable changes) that expressly lied about maintenance spending...barely .1% increase not even factored in with the new jets that showed up. They are hoping that a TA will help stem the tide with all of the operational and mx failures that the company is suffering through by its own lack of concern for the health of the system. Look at the share price, that's the real pressure for the board to push for something. While a good contract will be a boon for the pilot group, don't think for a minute that the training department is suddenly going to start actually training our new hires properly (4 oral failures in just the last class) instead of relying on a crappy computer program that Maury hopes to sell elsewhere. Don't think that EG is suddenly going to make decisions to shore up the operation...costs money to train, fly and be safe. Watch the stock price, it's the best bellwether for what happens from the front office.

Thank g-d we don't do multiple day trips. You must be a joy in the flight deck.
