Many of the stranded travelers made last minute flight arrangements on other airlines to get to their destination and try to salvage the first day of their trip. Oh yes, they all probably got a "travel voucher" from Allegiant, good toward a future flight in the next 12 months that many will never take. Don't understand how days like that with multiple canceled flights, disgruntled customers and make-up flights aren't costing the company serious money.

It's not the correct term and it's not a household term. It's a confusing term for those who did not transition from another fleet type (which is why it shouldn't be used). I've been on the airplane for awhile and never once heard the term used by someone who didn't transition from one of the other fleets.

Do we call it EFCA?? Yes!.. No!!
Seriously?? Engines blowing on a routine basis and pilots argue over terminology. Classic.

Based on this line of discourse, I would guess all the serious issues must have been ironed out over there at Allegiant. Good to hear. Management will be loving this petty training department discussion

Since 4 say EFCA, and 2-3 say no EFCA, suddenly it's a credibility attack?! (Why don't you direct this 'critical' discussion to your training folks?)
I would have thought battle stances would have been drawn over topics that were more pertinent to the real issues facing the pilots. Oh, I don't know, maybe contract, safety...
Nope. Arguing over EFCA. What makes it even more amusing is that you apparently almost suffered a major mishap because of garbage maintenance...and pilots are 'swordfighting' over proper terminology. Wow. For a minute I thought I was on one of the regional boards.
MG must be pleased.

She said only about 30 percent of those free volunteer vouchers are ever used.
