I know two regional FOs personally who were called for interviews with around 2,000TT. I think the 3,000TT thing is essentially to keep guys with 1,500 and a wet ATP from applying.

Did they get the job? I've heard of some getting calls that low but were turned down. The lowest time I've personally seen get hired is 2700TT but the average is around 4000TT+.

That said, there have been people who can't seem to yet get an interview that have over 5k hours, one guy who got a phone interview at 1500 hrs, and a ton still waiting for the phone call that have well more than the average experience.
As has been said before, it's a little bit all over the map, but the majority of new hires (at the moment) have ample hours, are at least in their late 20's (mostly in their 30's) and are on their 2nd or 3rd flying job. For as much negativity as Allegiant takes, they can still seem to grab that kind of applicant.
There are the outliers for sure. So keep applying, and go to those meet and greets, no matter what your experience level; you're pretty much guaranteed not to get called if you don't (I know there are exceptions).

I think they do an ok job given the cards they've been dealt, with few exceptions they seem to be hiring guys who are good to fly with, a few lack humility and need an attitude check but there's still a majority of really good dudes here. Once we get PAID I bet it'll be easier to get the personality type they seek.
