This should scare the he!! out investors and regulators. Safety guy now wearing 3 hats cuz the #1 and #2 in operations disappeared within 2 weeks. Does anyone need further evidence of the farce this place is? How many more executives need to leave, scary headlines, pilot terminations, training snafus, mismanagement, and complete chaos and disarray before this place gets shutdown? House of cards.

From Disco Inferno: "Retention is the real problem. It cost a ton of money to spend 3 months training a guy who quits 6 months later. So far there has been 20% attrition at the end of the first year for my new hire class."

Word may be wrong, for now. Management will be wishing Disco was right. If trends hold, the 40 hired will soon be down to 32 and those training costs will be sunk. Better off not showing up at all.

Who in their right mind would come here with so many reputable companies hiring?

Especially given the history of poor maintenance. Is the "upgrade" to Allegiant really better than a regional?

So, why are you there then if it's so easy to get hired everywhere? I only read this thread for its humor and slow descent into disrepair.

Happy to amuse you. Typical but valid question. Never said it's easy getting hired, unless you're applying at G4. Senior guys are leaving, starting all over, at comparables like Spirit, virgin, JB. That should tell you something.

Interviewing in 2 weeks, not at a 'destination airline' but it'll work for now. I know only a few guys who aren't waiting for the phone to ring. Like most I tried to hang in, hoping for change but finally gave up. Wish me luck😉

Fair enough. Nice to see someone taking his own advice. Best of luck on your interview.

Thanks. As one of the "dyed in the wool" guys that really believed in this place, I never envisioned myself starting over, especially applying to places I thought were comparables. Yes, I'm bitter, most of us are. But it's time to let go and seek greener pastures. Life is too short
