In my opinion? Not very.
Will I discourage you from applying? No.
There is a lot of people with 4-6k hours interviewing... Best of luck!

On a scale of 1-10, you are a 4. Just my opinion. I think the tpic may move you above where your total time would stack you otherwise.

Allegiant can still be somewhat selective of its applicants, despite what I assume is wide knowledge of its myriad issues? That is surprising. And not good in terms of trying to make things better for those already there.

Yeah man, the guy who works for Allegiant probably has no clue what he's talking about.

So I've been offered a job with Allegiant. Yes, I know the problems, but I also see some positives. Can someone tell me how easy it is to do the aviation goal of leaving work at work? I don't mind flying. Just want to be left out of the issues when I leave the plane.
Please don't take this wrong, but most forums seem to be a place where people only see the negative. Can someone help me balance this with sharing some positives?
And I agree, it would be very nice & appreciated if someone could post a schedule of a junior, mid-level, and senior fo.
Thanks! I'm sure majority of the people at Allegiant are great people who like everywhere else want things better.

What's the chance of being caught in a strike situation anytime soon? I know contract negotiations are nearing self help... Sounds like a Spirit type management that would have no issue trying to continue ops during a strike.

I think a strike is inevitable at this point. Right now, it's just a matter of when will it happen, and I'm not sure anyone can give a specific answer to that.

This is a very peculiar question. Are you asking whether there is absolutely nothing to be done regarding your job after parking the plane? If you are, I will say that you will do more work during your down time for FREE than almost any other airline. Other than the usual items like getting a medical, you will be forced to take a multitude of CBT (computer-based training) courses on your own time for zero compensation for each recurrent. They will also nickel-and-dime you throughout the year with goofy corporate videos and corporate policy and procedures videos, many which have absolutely nothing to do with your duties as a pilot. You will also be paid the grand sum of $80 per DAY to sit in recurrent ground school and take your yearly PC/PT. So no, this is not a "set it and forget it" type of operation you've signed up for.

On the other hand, if you are asking whether you can just keep your head down and color at work and not get involved in any of the union issues or current events, I suppose you COULD (and management will love you for it). But why not take an active role in your career? The pilot unity is at the strongest point yet but it wasn't always like that. We have been joined by many "I just want to do my job and not ruffle feathers" people because there is no discrimination against who stares down the barrel of management's gun. Nobody is asking you to volunteer for a union position (it would be nice though), but to bury one's head in the sand will only make things worse for everyone. I apologize if this wasn't the intent of your question.
