If the class size is 12 then I doubt everyone will get Punta Gorda, although my guess is about half will go there. You may have a choice of Tampa since there has been an open position there for a while, and maybe Orlando since a lot of guys from that base is starting Airbus training in August, and I would guess even more will start training for the Airbus later this fall.

I may be wrong though, with Allegiant you never know until it happens!

Punta Gorda is a 2 airplane base right now and will be a 5 airplane base by November. Those aircraft are coming from Sanford. I would imagine not many pilots will transfer into that base leaving all or most the slots for newhires. Anything is possible but I think most everyone will go to PGD.

I am based in the west and it is hard to keep up with what is happening in Florida. I didn't know they were adding 3 aircraft, and that they were all coming from Sanford. You may be right, all 12 may go to PGD, unless there is the lucky one (or unlucky one depending on where new hires want to go) that get Tampa. Who knows?

GB said 6 80s in PGD for Nov last week. So 4 more there. I'm guessing with the 6 crew vacancies they mentioned, at least 6 of the new hires will go to PGD. Depending on whether current CAs take any of the CA vacancies, there will be some upgrades into PGD. So that could open a few spots in other bases, depending on where they come from and whether the decide to backfill it.

PGD = Probably Gonna Die. That airport is nuts, glad to see they got a tower. That's all carry on

You have to pay for your own hotel in training? How much does that run? Wow...

It is. What it is. Runs whatever it runs. That’s not terrible, by itself. Given other airlines do this. Although, you also have to find your own way, and buy your own hotel room for the interview as well.

With this being said, is SFB currently one of the more junior bases?
